The Salsa Heyday Cues is a versatile aluminum fat-tire bike designed and engineered to excel in a wide variety of conditions.

The Heyday Cues 10 is an aluminum fat-tire bike that is not confined to typical terrain. Its 66cm (26") x 4.6" tires float over soft snow and sand and put out unmatched traction on roots and rocks. The aluminum frame and fork are designed around geometry that is stable without feeling overly sluggish. Versatile Alternator dropouts give you drivetrain choices, while plentiful cargo mounts let you load up however you like with racks and panniers, bikepacking bags, or both. Shimano’s CUES 1 x 10 drivetrain is a simple and reliable companion for climbing steep grades or covering lots of ground.

Top-shelf, double and triple-butted, heat-treated 6066-T6 aluminum tubing is used throughout the frame. This 6000-series aluminum has better strength and fatigue characteristics than 6061 and 7000-series aluminums, allowing for a stronger and lighter overall frame. Additionally, the tubing is strategically shaped and formed for additional stiffness and strength optimization in key stress areas. The Heyday geometry works extremely well in all conditions, using the shortest chainstays possible with a headtube angle and fork offset that place the rider’s center of gravity farther back. This combination is key to getting a fat bike that is stable, steers well in loose conditions, and still feels nimble despite the massive wheels and tires.

The Bearpaw aluminum fork features a 150 x 15 mm thru-axle that boosts stiffness and improves steering precision. The fork also features Three-Pack mounts for accessorizing with Anything Cages or water bottle cages. The frame utilizes 197 mm rear spacing to accommodate up to 5" tires, and the 100 mm threaded bottom bracket allows a wide range of crank (Q-factor) choices. Full-length internal housing improves shifting performance in poor conditions and increases use time between maintenance intervals.
